Dinner for the cat.

Going for the small ones on this lake. In fact, I have never caught a big Perch here. However, in the next hole, when camera is off, I got a pretty nice Pike that I put back.

The perch was a success to my friends cat. He really loves boiled tiny fish:-)

I used the ProPimple mini and the longest power chain dropper for this event. Hell Red Chenille size 16 + Bloodworm imitation. Very easy but quite fun!

Sorry for the SWE language, but I forgot ! :-( and when I was to speak ENG the camera out of batt due to the cold weather conditions.

New items while waiting for more ice...

Some good news I believe. Introducing 3 single hooks. They are size 12 (pretty small).

And also a new treble hook that has become very popular in Scandinavia this year. Very hot combination with pink chenille yarn and shimmering blue. The other two are the single hook version of the Xterminator and Red Lime.

Welcome Winter! Bye bye Fall.

Finally some cold weather has reached Sweden and this weekend will most likely end up with some ice fishing. This is an older video from a nice day fishing for bream.

Tungsten Marmooskas

You can use this single in shallow water or let a Pro Pimple take it down in deeper water. This technique is described in the "Tackle Tips" section in Pro Scandinavia Webshop.
You need to bait these with something. We prefer maggots or blood worms but your favorite bait will probably work just as good. I like it when there is plenty of room left on the hook to bait on. Makes it really easy!
Kamasan hooks in super quality.

OK, not thick enough...

...but maybe it could have worked with bigger boots:-/

Patience, patience...

COLD WEATHER PLEASE!

We are expecting some cold next week and we hope that´s true because otherwise we will have to use our boats again...

It is a bit too much playin "man or mouse" right now out there.

Another treble!

I really like dark colored trebles for finicky fish. I often start the day with a darker model and then try a brighter version if possible. This one is nice and I recommend a bloodworm (imitation) or a very small perch eye.
This is new 2009 and looks hot to me!

Training camp soon to come.

Just a little more than a months to go until the annual training camp in Sundsvall. This film is from the 2007 camp and we had luck with the weather and fishing. Our friend Frida came out in the sunset and tested the ProPimple Jumbo. What a day! We are already looking forward to this year's camp.

Finally!!!

The first trip is always something special! We had to try several lakes before we finally found one with ice thick enough. This video is actually the very first hole and the fish had been waiting for us apparently:-). Caught a few here and got about 11 lbs totally before the day was over.

Report from Maine!

Got to try those beautiful jigs out today!....Before I let you know the results/ Let me tell you my first impressions of the jigs...WOW! The Workmanship/ Quality of materials/& Design; ABSOLUTELY second to none!......Very impressive!......

Now for the results of todays fishing:

1-Must tell you that the lake I went to in Central Maine; Does have perch / but I was targetting Crappies.

2-I would say that today was: "A SO-SO day.

3-Got to admit; Was very skeptic of those very tiny trebles.(my friend/ they made a believer out of me).....I was VERY IMPRESSED!

4-Initially started fishing the jig w/ nothing on the hooks.....Found that The fish were drawn to the lure, & it didn't take long.( know this because I fish w/FF or Flasher, always) ...... Problem was / they were Finicky. Caught several in about 3mins. Then decided to tip the hook w/Fish Eye...... LET THE GAMES BEGIN...

5-In the next 15 or 20 mins. I must have boated 20 to 30 Crappies / & a couple of yellow perch.....Here are a couple of pics.( camera battery died soon after)

Thank you very much Lou for sharing this great day of fishing. /Fredric

Another nice treble.

We call this one ULTIMATE and I think it is one of those hooks that works almost everywhere.
Orange is a classic color for treble hooks and the shimmering blue head makes it really hot.

You´ll find it here!

Seatrout fishing when ice isn´t strong enough

2.4kg seatrout from river Indalsalven (Sweden).
Seatrout 2.5kg from this weekend. The ice is still too weak to walk so there were sea trout fishing instead this weekend. It jumped really well on Saturday morning and I got a dozen over 1 kg in the early hours. Middle of the day was some more water and fishing was a little worse but the fish jumped a little higher and I managed to get a few over 2 kg. The evening I will work with my ice fishing tackle box. Will try to shoot it so check out here tomorrow and see the result :-)

New treble hook.

Very nice design on this one and I really like the combination. Of course available in all sizes. 10 to 16.

You will find it here.

Let`s be careful on the first ice!

The first ice is strong but let´s not get too brave. This video is from our first trip last year.

The ice here is 2 inches and that is enough even for a 242 1/2 lbs angler:-).

Very cold and the fish wanted a longer tackle. We used the ProPimple King along with Monster mini-balance and added 2-3 maggots.

The Swedish Ice Fishing Record!

This is a translation of the article about Anders Bergman from FC Competition setting the new Swedish record for a 4-hours tournament.

Today's ice fishing competition at Borgsjön was an enormous success for FC Competition and the Pro Pimple Jumbo!

Anders Bergman wins at incredible 34 625 grams /(76lbs)! Ola "Jangler" Sundstrom 2nd at fantastic 30 982 grams!

Anders and Ola were fishing in a depth of 13-16 feet. No sneaking off to sit alone but along with several other skilled anglers. That is how real winners stand out!

Anders told me that the fish ranged from 2 - 7 oz but also some really big ones. A very nice Perch of 44 1/2 oz. By that fish he also won the side competition Biggest Fish. Grand slam!

It was a winning tactic to lift the schools a few meters from the bottom by raising the lure a little bit after each fish. This, as well as not sit too long in each hole became the method of the day.

Both Anders and Ola used their ProPimple Jumbo with a treble hook size 10. That lure was new 2008 and have already been involved in many victories including 3 weights over the dream limit 30 kg(66 lbs). (Samuelsson had 32 kg(70 1/2 lbs) in the Sundsjön earlier this year.
The fishing spot was a 30-minute brisk walk from the start and Anders had only a minute left of the official time, when he dripping with sweat and numb arms managed to drag himself and the catch off the ice. He cursed himself for starting the walk home so late.

CONGRATULATIONS Anders Bergman to a great win and the new Swedish record! Congratulations to "Jangler" for second place and another big catch!

First new ice

The winter is coming around fast this time of year in the north of Sweden.
I have seen ice on a couple of lakes so far but nothing thick enough to walk on.
This photo is taken 100 miles up north so maby I have to take a trip there to do my first ice fishing for this season.

The new tackle box

I´m very happy with this one and it´s gonna be very useful this winter as it carries over 30 kilos of fish. Hopefully it´s gonna be filled more than once;-).

Fishing the ProPimple Jumbo.

A very nice but cold trip to one of our favorite lakes. Best choice this day was ProPimple Jumbo with the Xterminator treble hook. Very aggressive Perch and using fish eye as bait was a success. Even a small fish worked as shown in the end of this video.
